Now, Forever

This photo series explores the semantic distinction between “dying” and “passing” — Passing is voluntary.

In these photos we move through George’s Creek, a Texas town disincorporated and fading. Through their comfort in each other and their contemplation of faith that people left there participate in eternity. And it is in their bold and gentle acceptance of their cessation that they find harmony.

In the end, we’re left with the impression of memory, where the past is never gone, but disappears and reappears endlessly.
